Is there a "blue wall" here? Why does it look like every time these things come up and are posted here "where they belong" they get locked without apparent resolution?

Yes, yes yes - PM Derek... :roll: We all know he's a busy guy and so things don't get resolved in a timely manner, which I do happen to understand but unless we pester the guy it seems as though things brought here regarding P&N get "forgotten". Again, this isn't a slam or anything against Derek - but it seems as though threads that question actions there get locked before there is a resolution by other mods.

I apologize for "stirring the pot further" but this has been going on for quite some time and the latest "situation" looks to be so far out of line I don't think it's appropriate to let it slide like so many have in the past.


After reading your links, it is now obvious to me that this is not a question about responsiveness or how to address grievances, it is about continuing your campaign against one particular moderator. This will not continue publicly. You are welcome to bring your case to Derek (he is aware of everything from Corn's thread and we have been in discussion on the issue privately among mods). Or you can pm Anandtech Moderator and present your case and ask for us to review it as mods (which, once again, we are already doing.)

But PFI will NOT be used to publicly call out a particular moderator. In the other thread, words like "douche" and "hypocrite" were thrown out, and strong calls for being removed. This will NOT continue in a public forum.

With all the crap that goes on in P&N I'm surprised they even moderate it.

I have more to say but it's likely to get me sanctioned, plus it's late and I need sleep.

CAD TBH you need to be more open to the ideas and opinions of others. I found you very closed-minded when I tried debating politics with you. Several of my ideas have been implemented at a local level here in Canada.

That seems to be the only logical explanation as to your post. Again, this is not about ME but since you don't seem to have a clue - I post in P&N BECAUSE I have solid opinions and ideas. Sorry you can't handle that. Sorry, I'm not some spineless moron that is "open" like you think I should be. I am open to realistic and rational solutions and governance based on my core ideals so no, I am not a luke warm sponge - sorry.

Now that the sideshow is over - can the rest of the thread please address the OP and the situation it brings up?
 
What's going on here? It seems that there is a concerted effort to get harvey banned. If those upset with him agreed with him they wouldn't have any problem with the inconsistencies.

This seems to be more of a test of wills. You will lose. Are you seeking death by moderator? Martyrdom? That's just stupid. You will end up as a fly spec in history.

p&n is a great outlet. I believe it reflects, with all the worts, the u.s. gov't and the varied (inconsistent) opinions of citizens. For the most part, tempers can flash quickly and extinguish just as quickly.

If someone says something unreasonable to you, just ignore it as you would (hopefully) with a child.

Most bait others here with predictable results. Now, when it doesn't go their way, some are running to mommy. Quit whining. Quit being a pussy.
 
I will not let another thread become a bashing of any particular moderator. As long as this thread stays on its original topic - the responsiveness (or lack of it) to complaints - the discussion is fine.
