ill have to agree with this

and yes im a patriots homer since 1981 :p

The Colts have had a poor defense and this year is no different. A year or so ago, it was decent but they seem to have regressed again. The combination of poor defense and the opposing team's defenses exposing the flaws in the Colts's O-line have lead to this string of post-season losses. When Peyton gets pressured he typically has a poor game and while he's not completely impotent, the lack of defense his team has all but assures a loss because he can't score enough points to overcome that.

I think you meant "When Peyton Manning & the Colts DON'T win the Super Bowl.."

I doubt they will make it through the first round.. LJ will run right through them.

LOL

I was just trying to be diplomatic. The fact that I feel confident they won't win is what started me on this line of thought. That and how crappy Grossman is -exchange him for Peyton and "bam" you've got a Super Bowl winning team..

He's gotta be getting frustrated. number one offense. Worst in league defense.

Hope Dungy does somthing about it. Maybe have the DL/linebackers hit the weights and feed them 15,000 callories a day.

LJ will def run well on them, but it's not like KC has such an awesome defense. If Peyton treats this game like a regular season one (read: doesn't choke :p) then he can def shread KC up a bit.

Fixed. I think they'll beat KC but they're not going to the Super Bowl. Sorry, it's going to be either the Chargers or the Ravens.

Think about this. In the past 3 or so years, they have been favorites and have had the pressure. This year, I'd say most people rate SD, Bal, and probably NE above them. They have less pressure and will play looser. Colts to the superbowl.....I think I just blew my own mind!

I really don't think the Colts will ever win a SB. They have proven over the years that the pressure makes them choke. LOL.

I'm from Knoxville and this place is like the Manning nexus. Everyone here is a Peyton fan so they all pull for the Colts. I grew up a huge vols fan and I cant stand Peyton Manning. I enjoy watching him choke. It just makes me angry that we have a team 2.5 hours down the road yet everyone in this city is still stuck on Peyton. I wish Haynesworth had cleated HIM in the face. :p

That being said, I dont see that the colts have a chance at a SB this year.

such a hilarious argument, I forgot that QBs actually play 1 v 11, and play defense too

by your logic, terry bradshaw is the best QB of all time!

wtf?? I agree with Deeko :(

Terry Bradshaw is the perfect example of why that argument is flawed

I don't think its really going to matter what team he plays for because imo he is the reason the colts havent won a superbowl. You can blame the colts defense all you want, but in reality he is the one who performs poorly in the playoffs. If you look at the numbers the defense usually plays about the same in the playoffs as they were playing during the regular season, but peyton's performance drops during the playoffs.
Imo peyton is a great quarterback, but he doesn't seem to be able to deal with immense pressure well like in a playoff game.

Did I just dream of him having a perfect passer rating in the playoffs vs Denver recently? I must have since you said his performance ALWAYS drop.

You mentioned the problem, the D plays the exact same which is bad. When you must consistently score 30-40 pts to win a game it will bite you.

I am not talking about individual games in the playoffs. Yes Peyton has had a number of great games in the playoffs and I agree that the defense is a big factor in the colts playoff loses, but so is peyton's performance. Playing great in one game isn't going to win the playoffs and super bowl.
