The hypocrisy is too hilarious to ignore. So the attempt is to color those that have a dissenting opinion and desire to have their reps represent them as some big organized plot. That's been the talking point from Pelosi and other democrats. That these citizens are some how following instructions and they couldn't possibly be normal people who are very concerned

Then what the hell do you call this from barrackobama.com?

"All this week, OFA members like you will be stopping by local congressional offices to show our support for insurance reform. You can have a quick conversation with the local staff, tell your personal story, or even just drop off a customized flyer and say that reform matters to you.

We'll provide everything you need: the address, phone number, and open hours for the office, information about how the health care crisis affects your state for you to drop off (with the option of adding your personal story), and a step-by-step guide for your visit."

WHOOPS - wrong forum, please move

Moved at OP'srequest.

And if that's not enough, here's Obama setting up a huge misinformation campaign and encouraging others to use these lies. Talk about organized agenda pushing. So let me get this straight - dissenting view = organized effort and bad. Agree with Obama/Congres = organized and good?

I don't really see the difference. The Democrats and Republicans are apt to fight fire with fire while the rest of us burn. (That red ink is highly flammable) All it does is remove their 'moral highground' on the issue, bringing them back down to the level of Republicans. However, to say 'they started it!' is water under the bridge at this point. Maybe we'll see some actual discourse in the MSM, but I highly doubt it.

I wonder if people in screen printed SEIU shirts are considered an "organized effort"?

What I find funny is that you seem to be a die hard pro-Obama and can see no wrong in any of his actions.

Also, I remember someone trying to give their opinion at a townhall and getting the shit beat out of him by Union members.

I still think it is on the front page of P&N, if you have forgotten.

What exactly do you see there that is "lies". The whole point of the site is that misinformation about what the Whitehouse has proposed is rampant on the Internet. People quote sentences from proposed bills out of context and build an entire alternate reality.

So if you disagree with one of the videos, what is it that you think is not true?

Here is the thing....

The members of congress simple do not want to listen to their constituents. If they actually wanted to have a debate there wouldn't be this rush to get anything passed. If they actually want to have a debate, they would actually read the legislation. Why Americans are so upset is because congress (Democrats) have made up their mind and will push this through not matter what - The Democratic leadership said just as much.

Yes, somethings have to change. Neither side is disputing this.

If your hard drive fails do you go out and buy a new computer or do you simply but a new hard drive?

Yes, somethings have to change. Neither side is disputing this. When you need a new spark plug do you install a new spark plug or buy a new engine?

It goes both ways. The thing is, we've been debating how to reform healthcare for decades, and all we do is end up bandaging the current system to keep it from total collapse every decade or so. We can't keep doing this forever. There are plenty of examples out there of how to run a healthcare system (either UHC, UHI, or a mix).

Your point about them not wanting to debate the bill does have some truth to it though. However, I suspect that it isn't because they want to ram it though but because real debate is a lost art. Welcome to the era of talking points. Even if they put through the time required to satisfy the "you're going too fast!" crowd, all we would end up with are busted eardrums from either side shouting at each other. Besides, you have to be blind to see that a lot of that doesn't go on across the street in their congressional offices. I'd prefer to see it on CSPAN myself, but we already see enough mindless shouting on tv.

Your car analogy is backwards. Why keep replacing the spark plugs when the engine needs to be rebuilt? Why rebuild it when you know you've done it many times before and it won't work the next time? We've tried that approach many times. Time for another direction.

I've also sent that website to flag@whitehouse.gov. It's like some sort of recursive loop - whitehouse keeps coming out with disinformation and I keep feeding it to their snitch site.

My OP and point still stands. This is an instruction manual on how to push the agenda, they even state they'll provide the material for you. It is WORSE than what dissenters are doing as they are just normal concerned citizens. I'm just pointing out the supreme hypocrisy.
