... do what you think is right, pass the laws you think should be passed, repeal the laws you think should be repealed, vote for the candidates/party you support, and.. in general.. make all your dreams and wishes come true..... then you'd STFU.

Until/unless that happens, I fully expect Republican/conservative shills to continue bashing Democrats/liberals while making excuses for themselves... and I fully expect Democrat/liberal shills to continue bashing Republicans/conservatives while making excuses for themselves.

Do away with all political parties, come together as the human race, and focus on humanity instead of their own greed and quest for power.

Until we can all agree on whose view of humanity is the correct one and the best way to go about getting there I don't see this changing

Sorta.

There needs to be some sort of order, or we might end up with 15 different "parties" all squabbling over one thing or another.

It would be like playing Civilization on "expert".

Sounds like you don't understand people.

You sound like you yourself believe you are fully right, and everyone who disagrees with you is disagreeing with you only because they are fanboys.

zsdersw, you are no better of a person than those you wish to "enlighten".

Simple:

1) Look at all people as equals. A Billionaire needs exactly the same thing an unemployed person needs; food, shelter, clothing, oxygen, income, transportation.. in other words, the basics for survival.

2) Treat people how you want to be treated.

I bet these two simple rules, if EVERYONE followed them, would be a cure-all for all of our issues.

Can't we all just get along? :whiste:

Not going to happen until the tyranny of the majority is broken, and can no longer be forced upon 315 million people across two thousand miles of country.

Large democracy is unrepresentative democracy. This government needs to localize its money, its power, and its authority. People need to rule themselves and have 50 parallel options to choose from to decide what is best for them.

In short, what this country needs is freedom. We lost it some time ago while fighting for the dictator's throne in DC. I will not be satisfied until people are elected who will tear down our centralization. Who, after leaving office, leaves less government for their successors.

I live in a a different system and our politics really are better. Way less harsh tones, and no defamation campaigns on television.
It looks like americans still have to get over the old liberal vs conservative war.
In my state the last political bloodshed was around 1900. Then socialists and christians came and there were 4 parties already. Where are american socialists? Where is the socially liberal and economically conservative bourgeoisie?

This wasn't something I was saying is going to happen. Just offered an opinion. Wishful thinking? Of course...:biggrin:

Behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"
He said to him, "What is written in the law? How do you read it?"
He answered, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbour as yourself."
He said to him, "You have answered correctly. Do this, and you will live."
But he, desiring to justify himself, asked Jesus, "Who is my neighbour?"

Jesus answered, "A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead. By chance a certain priest was going down that way. When he saw him, he passed by on the other side. In the same way a Levite also, when he came to the place, and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he traveled, came where he was. When he saw him, he was moved with compassion, came to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. He set him on his own animal, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, and gave them to the host, and said to him, 'Take care of him. Whatever you spend beyond that, I will repay you when I return.' Now which of these three do you think seemed to be a neighbour to him who fell among the robbers?"
He said, "He who showed mercy on him."
Then Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise."

What level of society are you trying for here? Just basic needs? Yeah - thats pretty easy. The problem comes in when you get into wants derived from human nature. Its been thousands of years and we still haven't figured out that one out

Just trying to understand #1. Completely agree with #2 but it's not going to happen.

With Number 1, I was basically pointing out that all people need the same things; rich or poor, black or white, male or female.

I think the system is broken when you have people who have much more than they would ever need, and you have some who have to find dinner every night. It's a crying shame that it's like that... the HUGE gap between rich/poor.

It's not the rich or poor fault that its like that, but that's just pitiful. No matter how philanthropic the rich are, that gap is getting bigger.

Humans are pack animals. We will always want to be a part of a group, select leaders, and follow them.

... do what you think is right...

Unless that thing happens to be bashing a party a person thinks is wrong, of course. Then the person should not do what they think is right, but instead do what you think is right.

Do I understand your position correctly?
