I'll be suspicious, to say the least, if he keeps up his current lead and doesn't win the election.
or is it just possible that many people polled have
said that they will vote Obama just so they don't get accused of being a racist?
How many "non-racist" dems are actually going to change their minds at the last minute because they don't want a black guy in office?
For many voters, especially the older crowd may decide that they would rather have a white guy they disagree with in office before they put a black guy they agree with in office.
racism is not simply a "republican" thing....you got plenty of them in your group too.....perhaps more than you think that will swing this election the other way.
You know not voting for OBAMA does NOT make you a racist.
I know...that is the point of:
is it just possible that many people polled have said that they will vote Obama just so they don't get accused of being a racist?
racism has been thrown about this election so much by the left
Obama saying that he "doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills"
Barney Frank accusing the GOP criticism of the Democrats handling of the financial crisis as "a veiled attacked on the poor that's racially motivated"
Gregory Meeks, a Democrat from New York charged that Sarah Palin was "using code" when she made the statement "He's not one of us" when referring to Obama.
News anchor Ray Suarez told a local crowd that the "pseudo controversies" about Obama's background are symbols for a "racial calculus" hard at work in U.S. politics.
Peter Otika stated "Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin have now employed right wing Ku Klux Klan hatred, racism, bigotry and have even encouraged their supporters to kill Sen. Barack Obama with rhetoric that?s clearly meant to incite."
John Murtha said "?There is no question that western Pennsylvania is a racist area.?"
so there are a shitload of stories in the press about reporters, and political figures specifically stating that racism is strong and loud in this country and if Obama looses this will be why.
So with all that floating around when people have a Obama supporter at thier doorstep or in their face somewhere asking if they will support Obama they may say yes even though they don't plan on it just so they are faced with the possibility of being falsely accused of being racist.
Just because the polls show him as ahead of McCain does not mean he will will the Presidency....it just means that the pollsters heard what they wanted to hear.
