if not MS Outlook, then what??? (alternatives?)

I've been using Outlook for my email, for keeping track of friends/family addresses&phone-numbers, for my task list, and for keeping track of what's coming up on my calendar. I like the fact that Outlook does all of this, but I was wondering if there were any other apps that offer all (or most) of that same functionality? Does any other single app do all of that? Or, if there's not one single app that does all of that, are any of you using several apps that together provide all of the same functionality of Outlook?

thanks.

outlook is the only programother then notes that does stuff like this, but i dont really consider notes to be a program cause its really a piece of poo.

I use a fairly unknown program called The Bat!, which can serve as email and address book (including phones and physical addresses), but no notes or calendar.

I'll vouch for that on Lotus Notes. I hate it. I don't know why they make us use it at work.

Netscape Messenger

*chuckles... i probably wouldn't recommend it now.. i'm not even sure its still around. I used to use it in college 4-5 years ago.

It's the most awkward program -- EVER. It is honestly unlike anything I've ever used. I'm fairly quick, so I think, at picking things up and this ass-clown program just boggles me. There's never a simple, intuitive way to do the simplest tasks. POS.

Use Pegasus Mail for everything but a calender/scheduler. Then use a dedicated scheduler for those tasks. Sometimes all-in-one just doesn't work best.
