If my PSU is not "AMD ready" is it still ok to use with an AMD system?

I'm about to buy the X-Sonic case that comes with a 350W Turbolink PSU. It only says it's "P4 ready" Would this be able to run an AMD system I'm building?

Thanks,

cmai

Model: Turbolink CWT-350ATX-12V

It will work, the P4 ready part means that the powersupply has the extra power cables that you have to use with a P4. Amd processers don't require the extra power connector.

some AMD mobos do use the extra 4 pin plug
for example the Abit NF7-S

Thus for the NF7-S would I need an "AMD Ready" PSU?

Not exactly. The standard out there would still call the PSU needed for the NF7-S and any board that requires the 4-pin 12V power connector as "P4 Ready". It's weird, I know.

Good suggestion. Turbolink PSUs are made by channelwell right? So I can use it!
