If mobo is for DDR2, does DDR work with it?

I found this mobo on newegg.com MSI NeoPlatinum2 and according to the site, it supports DDR2 400/533.

At first I didn't even notice, but when I continued to look on the site, DDR2 is relatively expensive to DDR. So I was just wondering whether or if it says DDR2, can you actually put a DDR piece of memory in it. Thanks. :)

Nope, DDR needs 184 pins, DDR-2 is 204 pins, IIRC.
A DDR module won't fit in a DDR-2 slot, like a DDR module won't go in an SDRAM slot.
(Newegg and MSI.com.tw seem to not be working for me :(
You may be able to find a motherboard that supports DDR and DDR-2 in seperate slots though, so just go with a DDR motherboard, DDR2 isn't worth the premium yet, it's no faster (almost slower actually)
