If MLB playoff started right now who would play who?

Aren't their rules in place for that, check MLB.com. I think the team with the most wins plays the wildcard team, and the other two play against each other. I dunno though, just what I recall-- could be wrong.

Go RedSox. Oh wait, they're mathematically ruled out?!! Damn. Go RedSox.

If the team with the most wins plays the wildcard team, then that is just wrong. Mariners and Athletics are the top two teams right now, but under the above condition they'll play each other in the first round!

Braves play the Astros
Cardinals play the Diamondbacks

Yankees play the A's
Mariners play the Indians

Technically, the teamswith the best record(Mariners and Astros) are supposed to play the wild card teams(Cardinals and A's), but in both cases, the two teams are in the same division.

By the way, Go Braves!!!!

Here's a Link.

From a past year:

<< Ordinarily, the wildcard would play the division winner with the best record, but since the Red Sox and Yankees are in the same division, the Red Sox would instead play Cleveland >>
