Hopefully it will put a lid on the spam capital of the world. :)

As much as I might admire the Microsoft's contribution to "bringing computing to the masses" (together with IBM, when Apple decided to guard their proprietary hardware and software), I am afraid that too much power is NOT good for anyone.

The Gentle Giant might not be that gentle, if your ONLY choice for e-mail, and OS, and... (whatever else...) is the Bill Gates' empire.

That is a consideration. Now I sense that it is only a battleground in the Microsoft vs, Google war.

But - that aside - Yahoo.com has been the source of a great deal of my Spam to th point that I simply blacklist the entire domain. Especially yahoo.com.tw.

Add yahoo.com.uk & yahoo.com.it to the list

UK has started up very frequently with the It at times.

Hopefully, M$ would stomp out the spammers use of yahoo - but they would then use some other domain ISP.

There really needs to be an effort of the host ISP to block this junk (unless they are getting rich from the spammers :()

I also get a lot of spam messages in my Yahoo mail account. Most
of them totally useless. And within say the last 6 mos or so, Gmail is
also getting a lot of spam messages. Don't know why. Personally. I
do not like the idea of Microsoft owning Yahoo .. Not that they could make
it or the search engine any better. Google is still best in my view. But I do
like the Yahoo Finance stock tracker. In Google, I can't show the same stock
in two accounts in the same portfolio. And I do not want to add another portfolio.
No way in Yahoo to export my stocks, so that I could get a new Email Account
and start fresh again. Would prefer not to have to type in all that info again.
