both are already horrible, unrepresentative examples of their chosen cuisines.

so, it really wouldn't matter. You can't get less than zero....in a physical sense.

It's not like you went to a famous seafood restaurant and ordered the chicken, it's fucking Mcdonald's and Wendy's we are talking about here. It all goes in the same microwave.

Well Wendy's usually is the higher quality of fast food restaurants but I am not a big fish fan unless it's deep fried to goodness so I suppose it could be worth a try.

I was gonna say KFC already do burgers here - then I had a look and it turns out what we call a "burger" you call a "sandwich".

Oh yeah, the Filet O Fish is a classic and the BK offering is sub par, thats ok. But Wendys? WENDYS??!!!!! I dont think so.

Did somebody just say that wendys is worse than mcdonalds?! McDonalds doesn't even use fresh vegetables. Their bread is so bad that on their upscale sandwiches they use "bakery style bread" to denote that they actually use flour and water to make SOME of their bread.

Ehh .... not a KFC fan. I don't mind McDonalds, as their chicken is good. But their beef is not good. It tastes like they add stuff to it. I'll take Wendys if I am gonna eat fast food burgers. Always tasty, and real meat.

Do one thing and do it well.............try to do everything, and you accomplish nothing. I think it is funny when a business attempts to diversify to far from thier core...........I like to sit backback and watch the trainwreck unfold........

Wendy's fish sandwich is very good, but pricey. Hardee's fried chicken is very good as well.

I used to like LJS but any more it's just simply too salty. Don't know if they changed or my tastes did, but it's too salty for me.

Believe it or not, but the fish sandwich has become my go-to at Wendy's anymore. Way better than MCDs but probably not as good as the Old Whaler sandwich from BK. It's bigger than MCDs so the fillet doesnt get nearly as soggy , but the taste of the fish is really too mild, if that's possible in fastfood fish.

The main thing is, they don't bury the fish in equal parts tar-tar sauce (at least the Wendy's around Central Ohio ) which seems to be the downfall of every other fastfood fish sandwich out there

How long has Dairy Queen been selling burgers? I only first saw that a few years ago and thought that was a tiny bit outside of their usual product lineup.

Yeah I always thought that was weird.

But I recently discovered that in some parts of the country, DQ is THE burger joint.
Much like there is Five Guys, or In-n-Out, or Whataburger, etc etc... which are typically regionally-locked, I guess DQ is the big name in some regions.

On our way to various places, I've seen some large full-restaurant-size DQs, and I cannot possibly imagine those are mainly ice-cream.
Up in NW Ohio, it seems all DQs are pretty small and everybody only thinks of them as a place for ice cream.

Hardees (competitor to McDonalds where I grew up, now turned to Carls Jr) sold fried chicken for a while.

Actually around here they're BY FAR the worst. Smallest portions, worst food, worst service, etc. McDs is fine dining by comparison.

I'm not sure about KFC, but I would buy anything Popeyes put on the menu. If they had a burger, I'm confident it'd be the best burger out there. It'd probably be a chicken-fried steak on a bun.

Pshaw...a "chicken burger" is some marketing gimmick. "Burger" is short for hamburger, which must contain ground beef!

And....

When people think "fried chicken" they think chicken on the bone, not chicken strips. If you have ever been to a true chicken place you know the difference between the two.

I get a Filet O Fish from McDonald's nearly every time I go there, which is a couple times a week usually. I'm not really into fast food fish much (Long Johns is good but I don't really go there) but the filet o fish just kicks ass.

When it comes to KFgoat, I go there for some dirty stanking chicken and mashed potatoes. So I probably wouldn't get a beef patty type burger, but some bbq chicken or their wraps are good.

That's one of the favorite fish sandwiches I enjoy also.

I'll give you the burger, but there are McDonalds that do sell actual fried chicken and like someone has mentioned already, they're pretty damn good.

Um...

McDonald's and Burger King have been selling fish sandwiches for ages btw.

Good god, McDonald's has been selling the Fillet-O-Fish for 40 years. Where has the OP been? If I want fast fish, I go to a proper chip shop. Unfortunately, good fish & chips are so hard to find.

And the worst part is I remember when the Filet o Fish was just .99, now its $2.50+ each! WTF?!

$2.50 is ridiculous for what you get. Around here they sell 2 for $3.33 and even at that price it's pushing things. I'd buy 'em for .99 cents though.
