Eygpt counts as Africa Africa? I always looked at North Africa and sub saharan Africa as two entirely different entities.

It depends on how you classify it, but yes most of Egypt (except the Sinai pennisula) is in Africa. In Cairo on TV they always talk about how they are the largest city in Africa and one of the major cities of commerce in Africa.

that being said, we like BoJangles and Chik Fil A more.

Black people in Detroit like it less than black people in Atlanta? 😕

hows it watered down? chicken is hard to change, its chicken...fried.

i've seen some strange pizzas at pizza hut and stuff in asia but i don't think they've messed with kfc.

White people and black people in the South like fried chicken and watermelons more than black people like them in Detroit.

No, it's not a Southern thing. Go up North and you'll see it there, too.

False.

i've eaten at KFC in Paarl, South Africa. Pretty damn tasty, but not unique as they have plenty of their own fast food chains as well.

I've never really thought about south african cuisine, how is it?

Did you guys know there are white people in Africa too?

If I were there I'd eat chicken too, just like here.

IDK about Africa, but the Chinese sure seem to love it.

They like grilled chicken, not fried chicken. Get your facts straight.

I ate at a KFC in China. They had the usual menu items and some different stuff, but it really tasted similar to what you can get in the US.

In other news, has anyone else noticed that the chicken pieces at KFC seem a lot smaller lately?

When I was in Saigon, South Vietnam a few months ago, there were a bunch of KFCs there. They have typical KFC foods but also served white rice with fried chicken..and soup...and oh yes, ice cream on the cone too.

I will see if I can find a few pics tomorrow.

Edit: Some of you posters need to get out more and travel to see the world. The level of ignorance is high in this thread.

It's not about who likes it more. People in the South don't only "enjoy and buy" fried chicken... I guaran-damn-tee you that more people around Atlanta fry their own chicken and fry it more often. Heck, in my youth I knew many who did so three or more times a week (people weren't so health-conscious in the '80s). This is why fried chicken is considered a distinctly Southern thing in the US: that is where it is more commonly made and prepared as a regular family meal rather than simply purchased.

I can only eat KFC a few times a year. I'll crave it, but after eating some and getting full of the salt the craving subsides for months.
