If I've ever missed a good opportunity, it happened tonight

I'm sure some of you have read my posts about me being an idiot and being led around by bar hoes (god looking at those posts I was such a retard).

Tonight there was a session at the university I will be going to this September (University of Manitoba), and I met a VERY beautiful lady.

After the session was over and I was just heading out, I was approached by this lady (whoa, a lady approaching me?) and we started talking about going to the school in September. We chatted for about 15 minutes and it was weird. I mean she seemed *into* me (that really seems weird to me cause its NEVER happened before). She was intently looking right at me and we both seemed to be listening to each other quite carefully.

Anyway, as we were leaving I started to go out some doors which I thought led to my car (wrong doors idiot), so I said goodbye and went outside, and she went down the proper hall to go out the right exit. By the time I realized I was in the wrong place, she was gone.

So you're thinking where's the missed opportunity? I don't know her name, her number or anything at all! (Ok, so I know what high school she graduated from and when, but that?s not much)

Somehow these very important details never came up. Now there isn't a chance I'll see her before school starts, but even when it does start, how the hell am I gonna find her?

Maybe I'm just dumb, or I'm trying to think something was happening that wasn't really happening, or maybe, we both just plumb forgot to ask these very simple questions...

*sigh*

Get her highschool's yearbook somehow, any way necessary;) Browse through the pictures, and find her name.

ouch, that sucks. i bet you both were to dis-kaboolated to remeber to ask the important stuff like that. She was probably like, oh $hit!!!!! i didn't ask his name!!!!

o wait, she was gone, so mabe she was more like, "i showed him all the signs of interest, and he didn't pick up on them. i guess he is a pathetic looser, so i wont bother...."

those are both very optimistic and very pessemistic veiws that she could have had, i am sure she was somewhere inbetween those.....

GL beat me to it, but that's what I'd suggest.

I saw a girl at Subway yesterday. I got her license plate.

good idea:

- get year book and find her name.
- try to find her next year.

good idea gone too far:

-get year book and find name.
- use name to find email
- use email to get isp
- hack isp to get address
- go to house

------------------

I could try to get a copy of the year book, I'll look into it. (I hope its not considered stalking :Q)

The same thing happened to me a few years ago, but in a different venue. You might get a name or something, but you become so enthralled in conversation that you forget to get contact information. I was riding my mountain bike through Wissahickon in Philly and a girl my age (22 at the time) was on foot and hollered over to me. She said she was impressed with my skills. I was blushing like crazy because (a) I consider my biking skills to be mediocre at best and (b) girls don't normally talk to me because I am the super shy type (in person, definitely not online).

We talked for about a half hour about things (can't remember the details, it just happens, you know?) but somehow we each just walked away and went about our day. I think I was home over summer break and she was going to school in the city, while was going to PSU in State College so I figured it would not have been easy to maintain contact...but I really should have gotten something out of it. I bugs ya, because you wonder what if?

Dude, get her name, and you have a very good chance of getting her address, phone number and postal code through Canada 411. You can make a few guesses as to her location based on her high school.

Of course, if she's got a common last name it could be difficult but not impossible. I once was interested in this girl with the last name of Chen, which, if you lookup that name and the city Toronto you'll find thousands of entries. I managed to narrow it down to her house with the help of some friends, and all this while I was away on vacation to boot. Never had a girl so surprised to get a call from Ireland. They hear the special long-distance ring and they'll pick-up for sure and be excited about it too, which is also great;)

If only you were both uber geeks with your Palm PDA's you could have beamed your business cards to each other!

yeah, see if you can find her home address and drive there. bring some binoculars, and see if you can park on the side of the house where here room is located. now everynight, just park your car outside of her bedroom, and watch what she does with your trusty binoculars.

this way, when you finally meet her again, you can tell her all about what she did for the summer, what food she likes, how big her cup size is, etc.

you get the point, just improvize my friend, you'll have her in no time. ;)

Go to the police station, & beg their sketch artist to spend a little time with you.

LOL @ ViperGTS,

Note to self: "Make friends with police sketch artists"

Stefan, think of it this way. You didn't lose an opportunity, you've just made yourself a different one. On the first day of frosh which is a big party anyway, hang out with her. If you've got balls of steel then bring a long-stemmed rose with you and give it to her to kick off the week. Hey, if it works, it could make for a great story for the kids;) If it doesn't, it's worth a few laughs and I'm sure you'll at least be friends - or it could gain you a black eye from her boyfriend;) But I'm sure the positives outweigh the negatives.

well, on the first day there is a big 'party' of sorts.

All the freshmen go to the Uni, and there is a BBQ and stuff. I really hope I see her again. (too bad its like 3 months away (78 days))
