Viewsonic or Dell?

I haven't seen the Viewsonic LCD, but we use Dell 15" LCDs at work, and they are beautiful.

i think i would take the Viewsonic, so much people have problems with the dells (2001/2005FP/W) about backlight, screendoor affects. You dont here much complaints about the VP201...or maybe its because nobody buys them?

VP201 hands down. 12ms, very nice design and supposedly one of the nicest LCD's ever.

I've seen the VP201s/b. There seems to be a slight screendoor effect where you can see faint lines between the pixels with certain colors. This was at the native resolution. I wasn't too impressed... altho... I haven't seen my dell yet either... it was just shipped. All I know was after I saw a few VP201's... I was considering a Samsung 21" or the dell. I am ordering the dell on faith

can you see ghosting on 16ms ? maybe I should get my eyes checked or something coz I've never seen ghosting on 16ms panels.

Keep in mind the viewsonic vp201 is a 16ms lcd.. the 19" model is the 12ms.

I had both and didn't find one to be superior. My first VP201 did have pixel defects, though. My unsolicited advice is to always buy LCD displays from a vendor who will accept a return no questions asked.
