The problem with that analogy lies in the fact that you don't buy microsoft computers.
Now if you were to buy any make of car you wanted, and you could put a ford engine in it... or a toyota engine in it... and then run mazda transmission on it...

Those are insane discounts! I got my Win XP Pro for $85 and office 2003 for $75 with my discounts. Where did you go for those?? I'm looking to build another computer before I graduate and lose the discounts.

Alot of of MS software is free at my school. In fact they have a site where we can download the isos and they give one key for each product.
