ALLENDALE, S.C. - James Hines was a giant ? a 6-foot-7, 300-pound preacher and funk musician so big that after he died in 2004, a macabre rumor began circulating in this small town that the undertaker had to cut off his legs to fit him in the coffin.

I wonder what initiated the exhuming?

The original article was reposted with 5 times as much content from when I posted...it was short of details.

Pretty stupid to do that without permission. The whole "desecration" punishment seems stupid too though. It's just meat people.

He gave up what he called his instrument of sin when he found God in the early 1990s.

Instrument of sin......of sin??? 🙁 I hope thats not his guitar he was refering to.

lol I don't really see the big deal, he's dead afterall. 10 years in jail? that's retarded. Sure, if you did it to the guy when he's alive, and burried him alive, but he was already dead. Technically that law should also make cremation illegal. Burning someone is quite gruesome if you ask me. 😛

fixed 😀

An old highschool teacher of mine worked in a morgue during the weekends and said he gave up red meat the day he started. He said human meat is far too similar to beef both in texture and smell that every time he was around raw beef, it reminded him of his weekend job cutting up humans.

Sure, it's gruesome when you forget what's happening to a decomposing body rotting away in a casket deep in the ground. I'll take an urn of ashes any day compared to a slimy, maggot-infested, rotting corpse...that's gruesome.
