I'm not an A/V specialist but I do a lot of photography. It looks like Rense.com boosted the brightness on the first pix in an attempt to get greater detail. Unfortunately boosting brightness NEVER gives greater detail. In this case, UBL's nose is reduced to a triangular proboscis of light. You will see whatever you want to see since there's very little detail.
Arguably a better landmark might be eyebrows. Women (and some metrosexuals, I guess) spend mad money trying to get the right arc on the eyebrows . . . as opposed to flat eyebrows. UBL on the right as a decent arc while in the "shady" video it's impossible to tell. When something black (eyebrow) is difficult to see against flesh tones you are going to be hard-pressed to convince me the nose is definitely different.

I have a pretty good eye for digital images, and most of the "conspiracy" sites offer some pretty wild interpretations of what is found in the images.
For example, I remember one guy that was claiming that small flashes of light on the collapsing WTC 1&2 were explosive charges going off, when upon analysis, they are very clearly pieces of shattered glass sparkling in the sun as they fall.
On another site, someone had drawn in what they felt the unobstructed view of the pentagon plane from the security cam would have looked like based on the size of the vertical stabilizer, and ended up with a plane grossly larger than it would have appeared to the camera.
One of the WTC planes shows a flash at the nose as it enters the building. From the description, before I saw the clip, I thought it was probably an interlacing issue (remember all those patriot/scud "hits" during gulfI?). It's obiously not an interlacing issue, and I wouldn't mind seeing the raw footage, as it is peculiar, but I don't see the external piping and tank on the plane, which the author labels some sort of flamethrower/ignition device.
I'm pretty sure that the "central spire" that stayed in the air a couple of seconds after WTC was actually a piece of external wall, hence no need to wonder about how all that "steel" suddenly disintegrated.
I would be interested in hearing what a couple physicists have to say about so much kinetic energy being converted into thermal energy before I took a stance on the "molten pools"
As far as the OBL tape goes, I'd love to see the raw footage, but my personal opinion is that it is definitely not him. The cheeks are way too high and inside, even considering the fact he is grinning like a fool. The nose appears to be too flared and not long enough - the width *could* be from lighting or angle if you wanted it to be, and the length can't be compared directly due to angle.
If the people analyzing this tape were the same ones who weren't certain that Saddam's video after the first bombing run was the "real" Saddam (I was), there's no way they could have definitively concluded this was OBL unless they were extremely drunk.
OBL had motive and means, and if the tape is not him, it doesn't mean he didn't do it. OTOH, it does make one wonder why such desperate measures to seemingly pin it on him, if that's the case.
I would be extremely interested to know about the 19 hijackers on the other tape - particularly since, what 5?, turned out to be different guys than they thought.
By the way, has anyone explained why the hijackers didn't show up on the manifests yet?
