... could someone please explain some things to me. Now, i figured out what blue files are - as someone mentioned, they are compressed. However, there are other things that worry me. First off, here is a pic of Net File. I don't quite understand what that means, but since it's not empty, that bothers me. Second, my C drive is being shared, as seen here. and when i try to turn sharing off, this is what happens. Someone wanna explain this stuff to me? Thanks.
 
Try My Network Places/Local Area Connection/Properties, and disable File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks...
 
Those are default shares and I believe they are always there. I dont know if you can turn them off or not. You still shouldnt be using the Administrator account for day to day things.
 
Oh yeah and speaking of which. I KNOW i turned that off when i got this PC. And guess what, when i went there last night, it was enabled. I turned it off again now.
 
All partitions have a default share in windows NT. The WINNT directory also is shared by default. These are administrative shares. Don't mess with them unless you know what you are doing. The system and some programs rely on these shared being enabled.
