Microprocessor engineer for say intel, or AMD, what do I need to study?

my HS has nothing but a lousy mentorship program ;). but I have suddenly had a shift in what I want to do when I grow older. but when I hit 35, boy howdy I'm runnin for President.

Start off with an Associates in Electronic Engineering, then continue with a bachelors in Microprocessor Design, then Attempts a Masters in Computer Science. Get some internships with smaller microchip companies to start and work your way up the ladder and you should land a good job after you finish the masters.
