If I stick a s370 coppermine p3 1ghz in an old celeron motherboard...it won't fry it right?

I'm pretty sure it will work since the northbridge on the board says intel 810.

There are voltage differences that could cause problems, but an i810 should support coppermines. I don't think it supports 133fsb though, so depending on the bus speed of your chip you may end up with a 750mhz p3.

It would be worth checking for BIOS updates before you swap in the new chip, but if you don't have a chip in the board right now, you will probably still be okay.
