Heard of a guy named Mike Ro who had a website/url called MikeRoSoft. He got sued. 😛

I think Microsoft filed suit - for obvious reasons - but the court sided with Mike Ro. However, Mr. Ro being a reasonably smart guy did in fact settle out of court with Microsoft. I beleive.

I think making a tech website and forum would cause confusion in the marketplace, but also you can't have IP on names (e.g. Mike Ro). I would suspect that something like Amanda-Tech would be more resistant; some minor variation. Amanda as a name can't be intellectually protected and the word 'tech' can't be protected. Lawsuits still cost money, though.
 
There are no girls on the internet other then the ones that do porn so we all know what kind of site it would be.
