My pop worked in police as well as auto insurance. He told me a little tip should I need to prove I was involuntarily distracted such as not seeing a pedestrian and be able to react in time.

Tell the police you were sneezing.

Since it's involuntary, and you close your eyes when you sneeze you can't be held liable for anything caused by failure to react quickly. You were distracted but it was totally beyond your control.

"I was changing the radio station"
"I dropped a CD on the floor when I was switching CDs"
etc. sound innocent enough, but are sufficient for you to lose your shirt in a lawsuit.

I read it as Jayhawker, not Jaywalker, and was about to say you would receive a medal. hehe

Go State!

In Florida, you can be legally drunk and you'd only get 30 days if you're rich (Dante Stallworth).

Unicyclists = 100 points.

(seriously--that is a problem around here. D:)

there's only 1 unicyclist here... and he's pretty cool. when i rode by him on my bicycle, he asked me when i was gonna take the training wheel off.

also around here, someone has a 2-3 story tall bicycle, that he rides around on streets regularly. i've seen it maybe 4-5 times.

The law is a little hazy, but in practice the person who is jaywalking has the right away...
The what?

As long as you aren't speeding, you won't be charged with anything.
I just wonder what happens if you're going ~1-5mph over the limit, and they can tell based some kind of evidence.
