If I reinstall XP on my sata drive.. question

Formating the hard drive and re-installing windows has absolutly no effect on bios settings, so as long as you have the driver floppy ready, or do a slipstream(which is what I did, I don't like having to use a floppy drive), then it should be no trouble.

I can slipstream my sata drivers into my XP cd that I'm making? I put SP2 into my SP1 xp install, so hmm.. I can add the drivers too?

Yep, you can slipstream in the SATA controller drivers as well. I have my raptors in Raid-0, so I slip streamed in the SATA raid drives with SP2, and now I don't need a floppy anymore, and it recognizes the SATA raid array with out me having to do anything.
