winxp is one of the worst OSes out there.
you want to get serious, get the win2kpro.

Win2k is definitely faster, I am always confused why people choose to install XP if given a choice. I understand if XP is bundled with a new system then you generally live with it but if you can pick and choose, go for Win2k.
amen...Win2K is faster than XP because it's less bloated.
There is one reason to use XP over Win2K. ClearType. But this only applies if you use LCD and actually like ClearType.
yep... my friend.xp pro, without all the fruityness and shadowing it (win2K) is good enough. and the reason why you might see why 2k is slower because you have been running that os alot longer than xp. If you do a clean install of both, at standard settings, 2k will win.

Incorrect. You may want to do some research before making such a foolish comment like that.

i've seen MeowCat alot on the forums with quick one sentence lines like "it sucks" "it's stupid" etc, i just want to know what your qualifications are MeowCat? like what do you do for a living (if that's where you get your info from), or how much exp do you have?
just wondering two things:
1) why you type the way you do
2) what is your background
it just seems like you're the only pro (if indeed you are a pro), who seems to bash things and leave things opened ended without any support until someone questions it, then you start giving the details.
cheers
that is correct statement..Have you noticed who criticizes America and George Bush- terrorists, dictators, France, defense lawyers and liberals!
