With two CPUs you can rip audio, encode MP3's, crack Seti WU's, surf ATOT, & chat on AIM without slowing down in the slightest.

I have to agree with you there, the robustness of my dual rig amazes me :)

That's what I love most about this system, although a single OC'd P4 may be faster for gaming, my dual TBirds are hard to beat for sheer versatility.

I think I'm finally going to upgrade to dual 1800+'s, I'm going to a MS event & I'll pick up a free copy of XP Pro so I'll upgrade CPUs & OS at the same time. Should be a big performance boost over my dual 1200 TBirds.

In response to the original question, no. Unfortunately the forums aren't SMP capable so you wouldn't be able to open 2 instances of the forums without a large performance hit. :D

Too bad you can't run 2K Pro on that.

:(

what motherboard are you running? would you buy it again or recommend a different one?
>>

Tyan Tiger MP, & I would most definitely buy it again.

It has no frills, it's just your basic 6 PCI/1 AGP/2 CPU motherboard. Only two IDE channels, no sound/video/LAN/etc, etc. But it's cheap ($200), stable, & I want to be able to choose my own add-ons.

Two CPUs is da bomb! So smooth.

(Dual PIII 1 GHz here) (Dual 533 MHz Celeron here) (Dual PII 400 MHz) (Dual Celeron 333 MHz here) (Dual PPro 200 MHz here)

<-----------------------------<

Yes, quads are neat too.

(Quad Ross 125 MHz hyperSPARC here) (Quad Ross 40 MHz "vewy slow" 1st Generation here)
