If I got a USB 2.0 hub and plugged it into a USB 1.0 card would the 2.0 work?

No right? I would have to plug the USB 2.0 into a USB 2.0 card in order for it to take full advantage of the USB 2.0, right?
 
It will drop back to the slowest speed. That is USB1
