If I go to McD's and ask for it freshly made, will they do it?

Is the meat in the Big Mac really 100% beef? What about those junior burgers? I used to work at Whataburger (a fast food chain in Texas) and I asked my manager about the meat. He said well untill recently he thought it was all 100% beef, but then they stopped putting that label on the meat boxes. But he was sure that the junior burgers, were not 100% beef.

Yes, it's 100% beef. All of the hamburgers at McDonald's are 100% beef.

Yes, they will cook the meat for you freshly. It takes 38 seconds to cook the meat for the Big Mac. If they take longer than a minute extra, they're just doing it to piss you off. I know this because we'd do it sometimes, especially if some idiot came in and ordered it cooked off the grill when we were busy.

*If* you go there when they are busy, the meat will be pretty fresh. Holding times for the Big Mac meat are 20 minutes, 9 patties to a tray, 3-5 trays. That's 18-40 pieces, which does not last long when they are busy. When they are slow, especially if they are about to close, the meat will likely have been in there for a while.

All McDonalds (or should I say, all McDonald's which have switched to the new, mandantory "Made for You" system), make your sandwiches fresh. The bun is toasted fresh for you.

To sum it up:
-38 seconds for the meat.
-15 seconds to toast the bun
-10 seconds to make the sandwhich (I'm going to assume the guy is slow here)

That's 1:03 to make it.

Thank you
😀

Go to Dairy Queen. They char grill all their burgers. They are 100% beef and freshly made always. that's why you gotta wait in the drive thru for 10 minutes at dairy queen, but it's worth it. If you want your stuff fresh at mcd's, then just ask for certain stuff. I always get big extras with bacon/cheese and no ketchup. They are always hot and fresh, although, who knows how long they have been sitting there for (the patties in the heater). If you want fresh stuff at mcdonalds, then tuff luck. Get a salad 🙂

Chaotic42 summed it up pretty well. Even though he no longer works at McDs, he still knows his stuff pretty well 🙂

If they are busy, be prepared to wait your @sses off.

if you want a hamburger for instance, ask for no onions or some other ingredient that goes on every hamburger, that way they'll have to make a new one for the special order

they sho will. actually ask them to leave out a key ingredient such as pickles, and they'll custom make it. my sis used to do that, and they'd tack a 'special order' sticker on the box!

Yep, I can't stand pickles. get fresh burgers all the time that way😀

same here... i hate pickles.

They are the same freshness as normal non-"custom" burgers that way. You have to specifically ask for it made fresh.

I thought McDonald's made burgers in batches and they have to toss them after 1/2 hour or so and make new ones. Seems like asking for a fresh one is kinda pointless.

Anyone ever read Snowcrash? hehe

My last big 'n tasty was microwaved.

Me: I'll have combo #4 please
McD: Large or Supersized?
Me: Combo #4
McD: Yes, large or supersized?

Dammit, that'd be the last time I'd go to McD.

I worked there a few years back. Maybe 2, 3 years ago they changed their system, pretty much everything is made fresh now.

Who the F are you anyway, the prince of Siam. Take what's already made and get the f out of my way. It like makes a big dif, It's a McD's burger for Christ sakes, not an 8 course banquet.

Can I have it fresh
Can I have it fresh

Pop a sock and suck it.

omg, rofl

seriously though, i think all of McD's meats come frozen and all they do is microwave it......so if you want a "freshly made" burger, you might want to ask instead "could you microwave it please?"

FYI they come in raw frozen patties, these get put on hot plates and cooked in batches of 8 to 12 at a time. when they are done these get put in to warmers. When someone needs something special ordered, they go to the warmers, grab a pattie and assemble the burger. worked there for a couple of months during college. after the burger is assembled, they nuke it for about 5 seconds.

combos come Medium, Large, Supersize..

They were asking which one... i see nothing wrong with that.

i always order my burgers with only ketchup when i go to fast food places, i have to wait longer but i get it fresh. The used to SUCK at special orders, always used to not make it plain or whatever, but now they seem to have learned 🙂

(PS, wendy's anyday)
