And yes, people still get spyware. A lot of people still get spyware. This particular spyware he is talking about cannot be removed just by Ad-Aware, Spybot, MSAS, etc. And more often than not, he is also infecetd with a bunch of other stuff.

I had that. COULD NOT remove it. I think I had a 'newer' version than the guides were for.

Ended up formatting. First time in years too 🙁

I run IE and no software firewall. All I run is MS Antispyware and SAV. No popups, no slowdowns.

I have 1000 or so users with similar configurations and I can't remember the last time I had to remove spyware from a computer. Maybe some of them are used to it and don't report it like they used to, but most machines I sit in front of are amazingly clean.
