They should have a web cam site where you can drink with random people over the internet if you can't find a drinking buddy.

Sometimes it is sad but it usually beats the alternative of hanging out with fake-ass people and their built-in drama.

I tend to drink alone more than with others. And drink = get drunk. Don't even know why... not like I'm depressed or sad or anything. Guess I just like to escape reality for some reason.

What's the big issue with having a few drinks alone? I don't understand what the problem is unless it's an activity you depend on.

No no, getting plastered off of colt 45's or the cheapest bottle of whisky you can find while alone probably indicates alcoholism.

Having a beer or two with your dinner at home alone because you like the taste is fine.

Exactly - I think the line between enjoying it and being an alcoholic is when you depend on it and have to struggle or focus to not drink a certain day or time.

Eating dinner alone is a sign of food addiction.

Just kidding. It's just sad. :(

I enjoy going to restaurants for dinner alone sometimes. I'll go to the local pub, bring a book of crossword puzzles, get something to eat and a few beers and sit there for 2 hours by myself. It's relaxing to be waited on in peace and quiet.
