If i did the Bench Press every 5 days, would that be considered too much?

I want to do all my exercises every 5 days instead of every 7 days... is that considered too much? Am i giving my body enough chance to heal/grow?

No, not at all. I've many recommendations that say not to work the same body part more than once every 3 days, so 5 days is fine.

That's fine. I was on a serious training regimen for a while that had me doing the same weights routine 6 days a week.

Also, many of the serious lifters at my local gym work each body part twice a week and they lift 6 days a week....hence, that's how I came out with 3 days.

you can lift the same muscle group once every 3 days. So if you do it monday, you'll be fine to lift on thursday. I prefer to lift once a week, and alternate my workouts between cardio and weights (MWF weighst, TRS run)

Is that for serious lifting or any muscle workout? I workout 3-5 days a week and I do my legs and arms each time. I'm not lifting a lot of weight (i.e. not trying to get huge)

The 3 days thing is for the guys who want to build mass and that's it. I was a competitive rower and trained with guys who went to the olympics. They were bigger than your average joe, but not nearly the size of lifters. Hard as rock though. We'd do our rowing 6 days a week, and do pretty much the same weights routine (lotsa leg press) every day.

Twice a week for solid growth and once a week for power lifters. Both will make you thick, but twice a week will yeild a more defined chest. 3 times a week is a thing of the past and really not good at all for any muscle group except abs and calfs. You will quickly over-train at 3 times a week.

I workout monday wednesday friday

monday: bench
powerclean
squat

wednesday: dead lift
snatch
should or incline press

friday same as monday

and after the main workouts i do some circuit work

I run on my off days

no probs here

QFT though if anything every 5 days would be too little.
