If I charged gas $5 at a time.

He does everything he can to hamper supply. Just this month he stopped the Keystone XL pipeline.
Everything he can, huh? So, you think he wakes up in the morning and thinks, 'what can I do today to drive gas prices higher?' I suppose he does this because he thinks that the higher gas prices go, the better his chances of re-election, right? 🙄

Oh, and btw, there is no shortage of oil. Speculators are the only ones driving oil prices up.

1) Stations make little on gas.
2) Merchants pay a percentage, not a per use fee. Charging $5 10 times or charging $50 once works out the same.
3) You're weak and powerless and the gas conglomerates laugh at your pain.

in detroit, most gas stations charge an extra 10-15 cents per gallon if you use a credit card. yup, two prices: regular cash and regular credit. surprised all states are doing this to prevent folks from fvckng them over
It's freaking annoying. I figured I pay ~$100 extra in gas throughout the year because of it.

Ah well that sucks. Got to be an easier way to screw them.

Why would you want to screw THEM? The local businesses and employees, just trying to make a living?

Instead, focus on the oil speculators that drive the price up, OPEC, and whoever comes up with local gasoline taxes. :colbert:

I really hope you're just trolling and not serious.

Debit cards. Pay at the pump with cash prices.

I wouldn't. Most of the time if you pay at the pump, it runs it as a credit card. Then puts a hold on your actual money. Screw that.

To actually run it as a debit card at most stations, you have to go inside.

But then again, I don't see that kind of crap here in texas much (CC prices/non cc prices)

Los Angeles, a mile from my house

Why would you want to stick it to the poor station operators? They are at the mercy of the market. They can't control the prices. You, on the other hand, would be deliberately increasing their operational cost (not sure how significant). YOU ARE WHAT YOU BELIEVE THEM TO BE, asshole. :colbert:

This.

I don't see it a lot around here either, I think it is actually illegal in my state. But I have seen it in MA. Most of the pumps around here allow you to choose credit or debit when you use a debit card though.

Over and over...would it kill a gas station with fees? Stations here in NY are going batshit insane with gas ($4.49 for premium) and I am looking for a way to fuck them over.

Yes, because screwing with the station owners (who make almost no profit on gasoline) is going to have any effect whatsoever on the oil wholesale cost of gasoline from the refineries. 🙄

Seriously, do you have any idea at all how the gasoline market works?

uhhh, not too hard to figure that out:

1) invade ME country, kill arabs and steal their oil
2) refine that shit. separate the petroleum from teh jelly
3) use jelly to make vasoline and lip balm
4) sell petro for pennies on the dollar to big oil companies
4) BOC sells gasoline to public at whatever they feel like that day
5) fill up SUV while pissing and moaning

and no, i dont work for big oil

You apparently don't realize we are overflowing in oil.

That was or is the reason for the pipeline because there is too much oil stored up in the U.S. and they want to get it down to Houston to ship overseas.

Please try and keep up before posting.

$5.80 where I live for regular gas. But don't worry, with all that sand in your vagina, you should be queefing out pearls by the metric fuckton anytime soon.

And wait until Memorial Day. Prices are expected to eclipse the $5 mark. Thanks Barack!

So if I'm understanding you correctly, you're bitching about a level we already saw when BUSH was in office. How is this Barack's doing exactly? Did you blame Bush when gas was well above $5? Hell gas has been much cheaper overall with Barack than when Bush's ass was in office, that's for damn sure.

YARCS

(yet another reason cali sucks)

You live in Ohio? I'd pay $10 a gallon in beautiful, sunny Caliornia over living there if they paid me $10 a gallon to fill up. Yeah the gas prices here do suck, but it's like an awesome tax in order to live here, and well worth it. I'll laugh when your prices catch up to yours. Because you'll still be in Ohio and I'll be in the luxurious, wonderful sun.
