If I can play UT2004, I shouldn't have any problem running KOTOR, right?

I'm talking abotut he first KOTOR. I want to play it on my laptop, but not sure how well it will run. It's a 1.3ghz celeron M, with 512mb of ram and a Radeon 9000 mobility. It ran the UT2004 demo alright.

There is a reason they publish the system requirements on the side/bottom of the box. If you meet or exceed those, you will be fine. :)

I dunno, KOTOR slowed down a lot on my computer although UT2k4 can be played at 60fps at 1600x1200.

For KOTOR and KOTOR2 to run at it's best on systems with Radeon cards you need to make one small change to the swkotor.ini file.

Add this line to the graphics options section: "Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1" (without the "" of course).

duragezic, make the change I noted above. It should speed things up a lot in areas where there is smoke and espeically on Dantooine.

you should be fine.

KOTOR will slow down at some points on every computer because of the shitting programming.

Precisely. I even get some slowdown in KOTOR II on my 3500+ winnie with 1GB of ram and a 6800 GT OC. Pathetic really.
