If I buy Halo 2, does it come with a trial for XBL?

I have an xbox but not xbox live, i do have broadband internet that works with the xbox.

If I go to toys R us and get halo 2 can I play it online? someone told me theres a 2 month trial to xbox Live included with halo 2. Thanks in advance for any responses.

thanks, i don't have the headset so I guess I can't talk to people. Are the alot of people who are in this situation, unable to talk but still participating online?

If I were to just get the headset, would that work? I mean never having bought the $70 xbox live package would this be pretty much equivalent? my friend has an extra one.

I don't know if you want to buy XBox Live, but bestbuy.com has the $70 package for $56 (ends today). It's only online but I think you can order it and pick it up.

Good catch dude! I just ordered it, used $16 of those monopoly buck things and did in store pick up. Now tomorrow when I go get the game with my 10% off coupon and my $35 in gift cards, I'll be all set.

hey, here is a way to get coupon without buying the game. Rent it at Blockbuster and take the Live coupon.
