Wouldn't be screwed at all. I hardly use Google, only as a secondary source for search. I do have a google account just because you never know when it might be handy, but I never use it.

Oddly enough, google is marketing to a lot of organizations and universities to provide student email services for free. Google is outsourcing these places for free....if they go out of business, it would hit quite a few budgets as Email usually costs $8-12/per student in licensing costs.

Alstavista, MSN, Yahoo servers would be overloaded.... plus the internet would go crazy
