i'd lose a whole lot of email and calendar events, it'd be a real pain in the ass.

Google is going to rule the world...

Since I accept our new overlords, in the name of the great Googlie, i declare your post as blasphemy!

You will burn at the stake heretic!

I'd lose my primary means of finding information. But I'm sure another search engine would quickly rise to take Google's place. So it wouldn't impact me much at all.

to quote a certain individual:
Kent Brockman: Ladies and gentlemen, uh, we've just lost the picture, but what we've seen speaks for itself. The Internet has apparently been taken over, 'conquered' if you will, by Google. It's difficult to tell from this vantage point whether they will consume the captive Earthmen or merely enslave them. One thing is for certain: there is no stopping them; Google will soon be here. And I, for one, welcome our new Google overlords. I'd like to remind them as a trusted TV personality, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground server farms.

google ain't gonna go away. i suppose I'd lose my email account and such a nice and convenient way to search in opera. that's it though.

I'd lose all my email, over 15,000 of them... most of my address book, and I would be VERY unhappy. I love google.

email. customized homepage, and search engine . .it'd be annoying but yahoo and msn get pretty much the same results. . its just that I dun like all the other junk on yahoo and msn search page . . .

Other than losing a reliable search engine, not much. I only use their email as a backup, having my mail forwarded there in addition to having it on my hard drive from my ISP.
