What does it mean for ugly girls?

However, pretty girls (pretty much all the front desk employees I've hired) tend to be very self conscious and have low self esteem (I guess it's a trade off to look pretty), so whenever I have to critique them, I have to be very careful or else they'll start balling and end up using half a box of tissues.
 
Say what? The better looking they are the more full of themselves they are.

Self conscious? Must be a SoCal thing since every women there has to look exactly the same.
