If for whatever reason your plans for life (CAREER) Don't Come through... What's your alternative ?

get a job that pays well and has work that I don't hate.

This is most likely the route because the PhD programs I'm looking at only have like a 3% acceptance rate and I'm not going if they don't give me financial aid.

I'm doing it and I like it.

No more greasy fingernails, No more greasy fingernails, No more greasy fingernails, No more greasy fingernails, No more greasy fingernails, No more greasy fingernails, No more greasy fingernails, No more greasy fingernails, No more greasy fingernails 😀

I have no solidified plans yet, im still trying to figure out what I really want to do and then go for it, Ive got about 4 months to figure it out too.

Maybe become a fireman/policeman? Not sure...

this is what i'm considering.. if my career path to pharmacy doesn't come through.
As much as I want to do it, I don't know if i'll be able to stand 4 more years of hard schooling.

Four more years of hard schooling... directly followed by 80K+ a year right after graduation and fierce competition to get your services. If you can handle the material, suck it up and finish. Worst case is you work as a pharmacist for a few years, make a boatload of money then decide you want to do something else.. and you have the pharmacist thing to fall back on..

got myself a good wife two boys a girl on the way. Nice house, cars, 18.5 hp riding mower. 2 dogs. a fridge full of beer and a steak on the grill.

That's what happens when your dreams don't come true. They change and become something you could never imagine and love every minute of it.

Well, it looks like my plans are coming along just fine, however. If i eventually hit a brick wall, or have problems with my current carreer path, I'd probably go back to school to complete my Degree, however I really friggin hate school, so I will do my best to make sure my current carreer path does not fail me.

A career in IT is my backup.
LOL since most people in IT are wondering what THEIR backup plan is!

Mine would be stay at home dad.

Being Mr. mom has always been my dream too, but I couldn't find the right girl.🙁

I would pack up all my camping gear and head in to the woods somewhere and become the next unibomber. 😉

Planning to be a full-time Police Officer (I'm already a part-time Reserve), but if I get hurt or something so that I can't work in the field I suppose I'll find a less physically intense LE job, or work in government in some other capacity.

work on the railroad as an engineer.

my mom's cousin does that, so i have an 'in' and he makes good money.
he went to the pac NW for a few years to work up there and raked in 6 figures.

From what I've heard of the job though, it's 99% sheer bordom and 1% sheer terror. Not my cup of tea personally, though I've always loved the railroads . . .
