I'd choose night. Of course, that wouldn't make sense for health reasons, but it would be nice and cool (I hate hot weather).

A few years back, my area was a test market for both Home Depot and Staples. Some of their stores were open 24 hours a day. Needless to say, it didn't last long and the hours were rolled back to normal.
