If eating spice let you live longer, would you do it?

Hypothetical.

Drug dealers everywhere begin selling melange, AKA spice. It allows you to live a long time, expands your consciousness, and eventually turns your eyes to blue within blue.

However, it is highly addictive and withdrawal is always lethal. After you start taking the drug, you would basically spend the rest of your extended life working to acquire more spice, and would be at the mercy of the prices set by dealers.

Do you do it?

As for me, I'd probably take it, but only starting towards the end of my natural life. because by then, what have you got to lose?

Consider spice as a new substance your body requires to survive. I'd totally do it if it made me live longer and expanded my consciousness.
