If Cops were Smart, they could catch Ecstasy Labs like this

Who says the cops don't do this? Anybody who knows anybody who has done hydroponic growth of marijuana would know that the number one rule is never to buy anything in retail chains, or if you do, pay in cash and buy it out of town. Just because you haven't heard of anybody getting busted by this method doesn't mean it doesn't exist, because it sure does.

I am a diabetic, so I have to buy a lot of syringes for insulin injections. I also happen to be a secretary, I buy bulk in long stringy rubberbands. I also enjoy poppyseed bagels.

COME GET ME DEA

There are other ways, although the precursor-to-the-precursors are also being watched. Soon, this evil substance called H20 will be on there, since it's use as a precursor spans to virtually all of the synthetic drugs.

It's worse than you thought...

here

I already have, my friend.

EDIT: Just to shove that pole farther up your a$$, take a look at our friend GotPics (22). His feedback shows a purchase of a whole distillation setup, sassafras oil, methylen chloride, glacial acetic acid, and sodium bromide. Go take a look at a few of the meth and MDMA syntheses at that site I showed you above, a$$hat. Notice something?

Heh...

But they haven't done anything wrong yet.

Exactly. It's all circumstantial.

You don't need proof for a warrant.

Yes you do. A judge does not swear out a warrant without probable cause.

Probable Cause != Proof

If you've already got the bloody knife with fingerprints all over it, what's the point of searching the dude's house?

On the other hand, if witnesses saw him argue with the guy earlier that day, and the guy lied about where he was, that's definitely not proof of anything, but it'd probably be good enough for a warrant.

Hah, thats pretty funny, i think you should goto a local news station with that 🙂

no one is asking the obvious question: why do you know how to make it and where to purchase the ingredients?!?! 😛

Haha.

That's a good question. When I was younger I was fascinated by psychedelics, and I read the chemistry with wonderment. There was an appeal to the genius of reverse engineering household ingredients and creating these illicit chemicals from it. A sort of science meets outlaw type thing. But I never dared to buy things or try my hand at it.

The reason I stumbled across this today was because I was actually looking for good old-fashioned root beer, and sassafras I never knew, was the key ingredient in older-style root beer. Which reminded me about all this...and there you have it!

there's no point in sending this to o'reilly. I think the government is catching on to this already. I remember reading that somebody was busted for buying chemicals on Ebay before. The government isn't that stupid. I was being somewhat facetious in my original post.
