Today's fighter RADAR cannot pick up missles? How does that work, if they can pick up other fighters?

What kind of radar can sweep the whole coast of LA? That must be HUGE!

Leave your P&N stuff out the door, this is for sheer technical curiousity only.

How do they deploy nukes overseas?
Bring a plane and drop it or shoot a rocket containing the nuke?
What kind of rocket can travel for 20+ hours across the pacific sea?

How would US intercept it? What are some REAL detection barriers we have that is operating online?

Who would really notice if a small plane was to enter the LA bay?

They'd use an ICBM. And it wouldn't take 20 hours, it would take 20 minutes.

An F-15's radar has a range of over 100 miles.

Some of the upcoming US fighters have radar that can track incoming missiles, and then they can be intercepted.

One of the new radars in particular puts out enough energy that it can cook the missiles electronics and cause it to go off course.

The missiles are going WAYYYY too fast. They'd detect it, yeah, but they couldn't do anything about it. The warhead is going about 15,000 mph.

Lets all discuss the current missile defense system, and how we've never had a successful test.

If someone shoots a nuke at us, the best we can do is nuke the originating country to the ground.

Bush Jr missile defense is BS, that ain't never gonna work. it's proven it can't hit jack sh|t, another sign the american public is too unedumacated to realize.

i just hope they can perfect the Airbourne Laser system, or nuclear powered Laser satellite.
