Lets assume we get hit with a terrible terrorist attack of some sort just before the election. George Bush instills martial law and cancels elections indefinitely.

After two months time, normalcy has resumed, Bush will still not leave the office and it seems as if he is enacting policies that will keep him in power.

Would you take up arms?

if he said on national tv that he was cancelling the election people would laugh and not take him seriously. people are willing to give up small freedoms to the "war on terror" because they would don't care if someone spies on them to catch a terrorist. messing witht the amercan system is a different thing though, republicans would not stand for cuttring out the democracy

in the absurdly unlikely situation that it happened... I'd probably whip out my canadian passport and get a job up north :)
