Seriously Harvey, it is time to ditch 98. Best decision I ever made.

OTOH, I have other reasons for staying with Win 98. I have a couple of legacy apps that need real DOS. Otherwise, I'd use 2K. The most important is my printed circuit layout program. The DOS emulation in 2K doesn't support the VESA graphic extensions resolutions greater than 640 x 480. For that matter, either does any vid card I've tried, except Nvidias.
I also have Orcad pc layout for Windows. It works, and I can even import my old files, but it's not anywhere near as easy to use as my trusty old Tango 2 for DOS.
It's those VESA extensions I need. Besides, in Win 98, I like the way you can get "under the hood" and fix stuff in DOS that Windows won't let you near.Originally posted by: amnesiac 2.0
WindowsXP Pro seems to support plenty of legacy DOS apps, at least in my experience.

Remember that Billy Boy bought DOS.....and btw, you are showing our....uh..uh..your age!😱
Most of the people on this forum would faint dead away if they needed to tweak the os just to get a game to run like the old days, let alone a serious app like Harvey is using.
You tell'em son....oh wait...you are older than me!😉
