I'd just stop visiting tech forums. Not many good ones out there anymore. I used to belong to Guru3D until it started becoming a hostile environment. Let's just say a stupid joke was taken the wrong way and a fight ensued. Nobody got banned but I took the high road out.

Tom's is a good site. The worst is hard ocp. I tried to sign up there and it says they don't allow registrations done with free email accounts. So basically it's impossible to be a member there considering 99% of email addresses are hotmail, yahoo, and gmail.
