If ATOT had to have a physical manifestation, how would you view it?

I sorta see it as a huge party in a really big house with lots of rooms, some small, some big. There are kids of all ages associating with grown, mature people. There is a secret, fearsome, black mist that kills some people or at least knocks them out for a while. No one knows why sometimes. Occasionally, people get in fights, but they never actually come to blows.

How do you view it?
