That was THEN...
So this is NOW...

CNN

"Columnist testifies Rove confirmed Plame was CIA"

Journalist Robert Novak testified that Karl Rove confirmed to him that Valerie Plame Wilson worked for the CIA.

What this is all about, with the Bush admin, is they lied to get us into the war. Knew they were lying, and played dirty tricks to ANYONE that opposed them. This could easily end up as the next Watergate, as it continues to unfold.

CNN is now posting what we already knew. LOL That's classic.

Novak said he asked Rove several questions about Wilson's mission to Niger, and near the end of the conversation, "I commented that I heard she was a -- I had been told she was an employee of the counterproliferation division of the CIA. He said, "Oh, you know about that, too.' I took that as a clear affirmation."

In other words, Rove didn't give out her identity.

this whole thing is such a non-issue and a distraction from the problem of how to get us out of Iraq.

Rove's confirmation allowed Novak to publish the story, according to Novak. That's true even if you believe the whole song and dance routine...

So, Rove was involved, and, of course, Bush will do nothing.

Dubya's faithful will forgive him anything- reminds me of battered wife syndrome...

Bush has a long history of saying one thing and a period of time later reversing whatever he said to fit his current needs.

Back when he was a governor he spent less time deliberating over death row sentences than anyone else in the history of the country and IIRC never overturned a single one (odds favor at least a few innocent people), then when Terri Schiavo became an issue he used a clear abuse of power to keep her alive because "No human live should be wasted.

Bush flip-flopped on this a long time ago. When it looked like indictments were a possibility, he changed "involved" to "convicted."

Isn't that how our legal system works - innocent until proven guilty and all that - or should you be fired from your job if someone so much as accuses you of something?

It happens all the time

Hey, I want to see EVERY person who EVER said 'flip-flop' in attacking Kerry come on and post that either Bush is now doing the exact same thing (many times over) and should be ashamed, or that yes, they're hypocrites and it's okay if Bush does it.

Read it again.
"Confirmed"

Clinton lied about getting some on the side and was impeached for it.

Bush lied about convicting his cronies who were engaged in illegal activities and his reasons for starting a war in which thousands have died, and the same people who said we were right to impeach Clinton will argue until they are blue in the face why Bush should not be impeached. Isn't that wierd?

This won't end up as anything because the spin doctors and pundits will find ways to redirect blame elsewhere or distract people from the real issue.

Americans are too apathetic and lethargic to do much anymore aside from whine and complain. No one is willing to really do anything about it and those that do are chastised and demonized in the media.

The difference? One was in a court of law, the other wasnt. If we impeached every politician who lied we wouldnt have a government. But the fact remains, if you lie under oath, its a crime whether you like or agree with it or not. The subject matter doesnt matter.

Sheesh

Just another flip-flop from the muppet. Are we into the triple digits yet? Yep, honor, dignity, and accountability folks.

lock this

Now that's sad. I almost feel sorry for your kind. But then I look at your sig and the irony totally cheers me up. 🙂

Sadly, that's quite an appropriate allusion Jhhnn, well said.

It's not Bush's fault for being a corrupt, hypocritical ass. It's our fault, and talking about it only makes us look worse. Now everyone stick your head back in the sand like we've been doing; moral expectations of the president are anti-American!

Exactly, I couldn't believe my freaking eyes when Anna Nicole Smith died all the cable news channel were showing full time coverage of her death. Unfreaking believable!

OMG, you are actually saying it's OK for a president to constantly lie to the country as long as he isn't under oath? I'm assuming then you're not refering to his presidental oath, cause that would be wrong now wouldn't it? Cause the way I would protect the Constitution is by leaking classified information, forcing us into a war for oil profits and lying about it.

Somebody please give this man a dollar so he can buy himself a clue.

1. Rove confirms that Plame is in the employ of the CIA.
2. This country can function well enough with these on going investigtions into the matter - we didn't stop the system because we were in WWII or Vietnam...
3. It's a only a distraction or non-issue to those that can't handle the truth of how crooked Rove is...
