Yeah, the locking ones are too bulky and they don't make the older style anymore. I snapped 2 of the original Leathermans and went to the Gerber because it was more rugged. The Wave is a much better design I think. For $25 it's certainly worth it if you use a multi-tool on a regular basis, or even just to have one in your glove box for an emergency.
