If an HD gets bad sectors is it RMA'able ?

Absolutely.

if its under the time frame specified by the manufacturer..

I assumed the fact that he was asking what constitutes "RMAable" meant he was under (or is about to run out of and wants a fresh drive) coverage.

cool I have until 030304 to warranty my hd.

I hope they send me a larger one..

Running the Power some crap to get the code is a pain in the ass.

What brand of drive do you have? I've RMA'd Western Digital before and they just send you a new drive, usually bigger than the one you had before. Just tell them you ran the diagnostic tools and your drive is fuX0red. Do they even actually check the RMA'd drives before they send you a new one?

I have to get some type of god damn error code to put in the Advance warranty online form.

ARGH

FOCKING MAXTOR~!!!!!!

Western Digital, Seagate never gave me these problems..

I'm losing 75% of all my music + all music video cuz of this bad sector crap~!!!!

I can''t believe this crap 🙁 All my stuff gone~~~~
I've got off as much as I could.. but my main HD 20gb simply doesn't have any more space to hold stuff 🙁

Ahh why are they asking me for the Powermax Code. It's going through that surface scan crap .. and it's gonna take forever and a day.

while its doing its thing you could be freeing up space on the 20GB by burning off onto CD/DVD/ZIP/Tape or whatever storage medium you have available and as nick1985 said directly and I indirectly ...you have not done a search on GH forum if you had you would be workin' the data off the 20GB in prep for a go at the failing drive ...and as far as code for the RMA I did not need one as the one I sent was deader than a dodo 😉
