Do you think it would make an impact? Not that throwing money at something necessarily means results, but it makes me wonder..

Good point. Some people (like my mom) got cancer, but not from smoking. She died of ovarian cancer.

If all the money wasted in the Iraq war was..


hell i would love to just have a tiny fraction of that to pave the dirt streets in my town and to get true broadband.

oh and just think how many people all the money we have spent in Iraq would help Medicare/medicaid...
 
first off it would never happen. they would find another useless project to throw that money at. such as another bridge to a small town or something insane.

most of the roads in my county are gravel

Think of all the engineers!!!

as someone who did have a stint in the defense industry as an engineer, and someone who has many peers who's careers depend on money spent on the defense industry; we need a large defense-spending administration in office at all times.

And now, I'm seroiusly not being sarcastic. I'm being 100% serious here. As a tech forum, I'd expect more support from people who respect and actually are in engineering fields.

Hold your horses there tex. I am not anti-war but I feel we are wasting money in Iraq as well. We had no business being there.
