I'm no fan of Al Sharpton, but police reform to stop police brutality is one of his major messages. So you basically admit there are cases where we should not give undying support to police actions. Which is one of the things Al Sharpton was fighting for.
And the second part of your message is exactly why people distrust the police, and Republicans. It's surprisingly simple. When you act like a douchebag, people treat you like a douchebag.
And no response on the racism question. So I guess you're OK with suppressing minorities.
Maybe if Republicans stops writing Jim Crow laws and suppressing minorities, things may change.
The FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) and associated unions spend 61% of their contributions to Democrats.
It's quite simple. The FOP will support whichever candidate they think helps their union members the most. It's not so much about which party as it is about what the values of each candidate are. I'm OK with that. And sometimes you get it right, and sometimes you get it wrong, as is the case with Trump. That was a major mistake.
Here is
one article on FOP contributions to political candidates. Pretty split down the middle, though it does lean Democratic. If we look at
year by year statistics, the FOP leans Democratic, with some years giving zero dollars to Republicans.
